Guires Research Labs was pleased to welcome a visiting team from Japan to our facility in Chennai, to explore opportunities for collaboration between Japanese innovation and Guires' capabilities in food, nutraceutical and cosmetic research, development and testing.
The delegation toured our laboratories and pilot facilities and met Guires Research Labs leadership, together with our R&D, production and quality teams. They saw first-hand how we take products from concept and formulation through pilot-scale manufacturing, analytical testing, shelf-life studies and regulatory documentation.
In the boardroom, the Japanese team presented their freshness-preservation technologies, including antioxidant packaging formats such as sheets, cushioning materials, zipper bags and shaped pouches designed to extend the shelf life of fruit and other perishable foods.

Discussions focused on where our strengths complement each other: evaluating and validating new packaging and preservation technologies through Guires' shelf-life, stability and sensory testing; co-developing products for Indian and international markets; and helping innovative technologies reach Indian food manufacturers, exporters and agri-businesses, reducing food waste along the way.
