As the saying goes, "nothing brings people together like good food." On Friday, 20 June 2025, Guiresians at our Chennai headquarters stepped away from contract research, advanced analytics, publishing support and pilot manufacturing for an afternoon just as enriching: a cross-cultural potluck celebrating unity through diversity.
"Gastronomically Guires" was conceived as a refreshing break from routine, designed to strengthen friendships across departments and honour the rich cultural heritage of our team. It reflected our commitment to employee engagement and workplace wellbeing, two pillars of the culture we have built at Guires.
The afternoon opened with heartfelt words from Dr Radhika Ganesan, CEO, and Mr Ganesan A., Founder and Chairman. They spoke about the role of community in innovation and sustainable growth, and how shared experiences outside work translate into stronger collaboration on client projects, from clinical research and data analytics to scientific publishing and pilot-scale development. They also reflected on the journey from a small team to a trusted global name in scientific consulting and outsourcing, as Guires prepares to celebrate 14 years of excellence.
Then came a spectacular medley of flavours that mirrored the diversity of our people. Crispy chicken cutlets, fiery chicken 65 and gobi 65 sat alongside Mughlai chicken biryani, egg masala and prawn curry, with rasam, brinjal (katrikkai) curry, white rice, chapati and parotta catering to every preference. Dessert brought gulab jamun, saffron kesari, homemade brownies and the showstopper: orange ice cream served in real oranges, a delightful blend of tradition and innovation.

Beyond the food, the afternoon was a reminder of a belief at the core of Guires: whether in biostatistics, regulatory affairs, medical writing, publishing operations or manufacturing consulting, our teams deliver their best for clients when they are united by trust, empathy and appreciation for one another.
As music played and spontaneous dancing broke out, the office became a hub of laughter, storytelling and bonding. The potluck became a metaphor for Guires itself: a melting pot of talent, passion and shared purpose.
Gastronomically Guires reaffirmed the values that drive us forward: collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, excellence and a human-centred approach to global scientific consulting. Strong relationships within our teams build the trust and reliability our clients depend on.
